Ethephon is the plant hormones to promote plant maturation. It get into the plant through leaf, bark, fruit or seed and then move to the acting position. Ethephon can improve the adventitious root formation; it can make the plant stem strong and short; break dormancy; induce flowering; control the floral organ sex differentiation; ripen fruit; promotes aging and shedding.

Description |
The pure product is the grey white wax solid with melting point of 74-75°C. Its industrial products is pale yellow viscous liquid with relative denisty of 1.258. The Ethephon is soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, acetone, diethyl ether, and other polar organic solvents for about 1kg/l; and it is slightly soluble in aromatic solvents. When the PH is higher than 3, It will decompose and send out ethylene. The Ethephon will react with alkali, metal salt and metal(aluminum, copper and iron). |

Application:
1) Ethephon is a kind of high effect used for agricultural plants growth stimulants. It promote plant organ aging mature,such as for ripening of cotton ball , tomatoes turn red.
2) It restrain stem and leaves growth, such as for maize dwarf and lodging resistance, cultivate stocky rice seedling, control lychee tip to promote ear.Increase numbers of female flower of cucumbers and improve output.
3) It break the dormancy and promote seed germination,stimulate rubber run latex, improve production,promote shedding fruit of hawthorn, dates, easy picking fruit.
4) It is also used for wheat male sterility , promote dwarf plant and good plant tape,cuttage rooting and inducing plants roots,promoting pineapple flowering, shorten the growth time of pineapple.

Cautions:
1. Ethephon TC is stable. But its dilute solution is in a lower stablity. So it is better prepare it when need.
2. Ethephon is acid and will react with alkali. So please do not apply the Ethephon together with the alkaline pesticide or do not dilute the Ethephon by alkaline water.
3. Apply the Ethephon at the temperature above 20oC. Lower temperature will reduce the decompse effect.
4. Please spray again if it rains within 6 hours after our spraying.
5. Ethephon is low toxic. But It has the irrational for skin and eye. So please avoid to touch the ethephon directly. Especially do not splash the ethephon liquid into eyes. If ethephon touches skin or splashes into eyes, wash the skin or eyes by water or soap-suds. Please go to hospital if necessary.
